CACTUS LANDSCAPE     original oil painting

These cactus are typical in southern Mediterranean countries. They bear fruit in September which tastes like melon. Farmers in Mallorca use them as a windbreak to protect their orange trees. Goats are the most common animals in Mallorca since they do very well on infertile land and are a source of milk and meat.
